In the "old days," once someone reached our age, the mere fact that they were still breathing meant they were living.  Today, we really live, as actively as we did a decade ago, and more actively than any middle-aged generation before us.  That's what the articles featured on this page are all about.

How many times can we say it? “This is not your father’s vacation.”
We found a company that seems to understand that, which is how we came across Betty Alexander, who caters to the Well Traveled Baby Boomer.

Deciding where we want to live the rest of our lives is one of the most important decisions many of us make. So how is America’s most prosperous and mobile generation going about the process? Bill Bryant has a couple of examples, who found nirvana by Road Tripping for Retirement.

Have any kids to take to college? Had any already? As Laurey Boyd writes for BoomerCafé, it’s a stage of life when we have something in common with all the other Mushheart Parents of the World.

We boomers may be strong, but we’re not independent. At least we’re old enough to know we shouldn’t always try to be. As Michigan newspaper columnist Cindy LaFerle has found, from time to time there’s nothing wrong with graciously accepting "The Gift of Receiving."

What’s the best, cheapest retirement investment for baby boomers? You’d expect that the answer is “money,” but according to Ellen Freudenheim, author of “Looking Forward: An Optimist’s Guide to Retirement,” it’s not. What she says is, Invest in Exercise.

Memories? You can’t get to our age without them. Some are good, some are bad, but the best are nostalgic. Like music. Aren’t there songs that remind you of something special when you were younger? Laurey Boyd has plenty, and she has found a way to live those memories again. In fact, she writes, It’s Not Unusual.

The Grand Canyon is one of those places we take for granted. At least that's the thought of BoomerCafé co-founder David Henderson who recently visited the canyon. It's more ... much more ... David says than just a big place in northern Arizona. The canyon lives up to its reputation as a wonder of nature. He thinks we all should consider a visit to the Grand Canyon.
